Man live in Florida who is petty thief.

What happen?

A man didn’t pay for the soda in McDonald.

He was drunk

What’s the consequence?

He was arrested.

He held on $6,500 penalty.

He could face 5 years in prison

I read the article that is about a man who is petty thief. He went to the McDonald, and order soda, but he didn’t pay for it, and he just left. Police officers caught him, and now, he is in jail. The punishment for him is quite heavy. He only did not pay for soda, which is about $1, but now, he is facing 5 years in prison, or $6,500 penalty. Compare to Korea, I think the weight of punishment is much heavier in here, America. For me, I think it is a good idea to punish criminals or thieves strongly, so that people cannot commit illegal stuff easily.

Luxury good brands in Korea do not donate as much as they earn.

What is the problem?

Luxury brands make so much money these days because people tend to have them.

Even they make so much profits, they do not donate money to society.

These days, people’s desire to get luxury brand bag is getting higher, especially in Korea. So, many luxury brands make so many profits these days. Even so, they do not donate money to the society.

I understand that donating money is not that they have to do but usually, when the company makes lots of profits from people, they tend to donate money to people who live in poor environment, and I think that is right to do. But in this article was about that companies do not donate money. I hope many corporations who make lots of money, give some money back to society so that they can help poor people.

Man’s $5 Garage Sale Find Could Be Worth $2 Million

-Man from England bought maybe Andy Warhol’s painting for 5 dollars.

Where?

-From garage sale.

What painting is it?

-It is the picture of 1930’s actor Rudy Valee.

-There is sign on the bottom says, “Andy Warhol”

-Maybe Andy Warhol did not intend to sell it.

How much it worth?

-About 2 million dollars

            I read the article from Yahoo, and it was about a man who bought painting at garage sale for five dollars. This painting might be Andy Warhol’s. This man is so lucky. It is really rare to buy something really valuable for cheap price. I am so surprised that he bought that from garage sale, but I was more surprised that the owner of painting sold it at garage sale, Andy Warhol’s painting. I think if that painting turns to real piece, the pre-owner might sue for getting the painting back. It was really interesting article for me.

There was tornado in Middle West. There were lots of victims after that, and one of the article made me feeling warm and sad, and that was this article. A mother of two children lost her leg saving her children. This is so sad story, but l felt warm. These days, I saw a lot of criminal articles, not like this. According to this article, Stephanie said that she was relief that her kids was fine, even she lost her own leg. I want to be a mom like this in the future someday.

There were riots in Xinjiang, China. And because of that, 12 victims occurred. Criminals killed people, and police shot the criminals. According to the article, people who live in Xinjiang are mostly Muslim, and they had these happening before.

           Firstly, I feel so bad about what they did, and sorry for victims. And I hope police officers catch the rioters soon, and punish them strongly so that it will not happen again. I read that there are another violent in that city before, so I hope the security system will be strong soon.

-near the Stevens Pass ski area in the Cascade Mountains

 I read the article, and it was about the disaster in ski resort in Washington State. According to the article, there were two different avalanches hit the ski area. I searched about the avalanche after I read this article, and it says avalanche can occur when the warm weather makes the surface of snow melt. I was so surprised that still avalanche occurs even it is end of February. I thought spring is now coming, but it still snows these days, and these bad things are happening because of snow. I feel so sorry for the victims, and I hope spring comes soon so that these disasters are gone.

          American pop singer Whitney Houston died on saturday in Los Angeles hotel. Police officers did not find the exact  reason why she died, but they think it is because of drug abuse. I feel so sorry that she died even she is only 43 years old. She was one of my favorite American pop singer, and I liked her voice and song so much. I knew that she had some drug, and alcohol problem, and those problems made me disappointed to her. Also, because of that, people’s recognition of her changed. But still, I liked her song. So it makes me so sad that I cannot listen to her music anymore.
